Favorite Things for travel (part 1 of many!)

Image
When traveling to an all inclusive resort, there are still a few things you might want to take with you, one of which is  pool floats .  Yes, POOL FLOATS!  These are great ones that pack small and work great in the pool or the ocean at your destination.  trust me, you'll be so happy that you brought these with you! The next thing you'll need are towel clips !!  These help you keep your towel from blowing away and they make it easy to find your chair after a few too many drinks from the pool bar!  I like these parrot ones! There are also bulk packs of plain ones for the family and these cute BRIGHT clips in some of my favorite colors:  and OMG Flip flip clips ! Whichever clips you choose, you'll be happy to have them along when you can spot your chair easily and your towel stays put!  I promise!

The time had come for us to get the heck out of the US after a year of quarantine, home school, and working remotely.  When we talked about where we wanted to go, the choice was pretty simple -- Beaches Turks and Caicos!   I have been wanting to take Scott and AJ here since the first time I came here three years ago!  And with their covid protocols all in place and 2.3 of us at fully vaccinated status, now seemed like the perfect time to go!   The first thing we needed to take care of was learning about the Turks and Caicos TCI Assured Process .  Turks requires a negative PCR (very important -- it can't be antigen/rapid, MUST be PCR as of April 2021) test result for EVERY member of the party taken within 5 days of departure.  You'll need a hard copy or phone photos of those results at the airport (departing and landing) as well as a copy of your proof of travel insurance.  All the details will be on the TCI Assured page, and are subject to ch...

How to Make Porthole Fish Extender Gifts Everyone wants to know how to make the cute mini portholes, so I finally got around to making a tutorial list!  FYI it does contain affiliate links, consider using them to support my FE habit :)   First, get enough 4" wooden circle plaques for your project.  I suggest getting a couple of extra ones to practice with at first: You can buy them individually: or in bulk: You'll want to stain them.  I used: with foam brushes: You will also need that's what you will print the blue background and cabin number on. I suggest that you have a vinyl cutter for this project, too, if you don't already have one.  I use a Silhouette, but a Cricut works, too.  Here is info on both machines: Next, you'll need silver vinyl for the background circle.  This roll comes with transfer tape which is also handy for this project: Some spray sealer to sea...
